Covid19 virus: the disinfectant mask by thermal viral inhibition (+ UVc?)?

The Covid19 virus like all Coronaviruses is THERMOLABILE: it does not survive above 70 ° C for a few seconds ... it is a proven fact!

So why not disinfect the air in the Covid19 with non-filtering but thermal masks which will heat the air> 70 ° C rather than filter it !! ??

We can, of course, do both: filtration THEN heating!
?


It would suffice to thermally disinfect the air, let's say at 90-100 ° C for a few seconds? !

It therefore takes just 1 second at 110 ° C to inhibit the H1N1 virus by a log factor of 4!

Edit 0: the calculations below allow to estimate log order reduction 7 to 90 ° C in just 1 second...

But putting a mini inter-cooler to lower the temperature is not a major technical problem ...

Thermal level: a gas camping gas cylinder would certainly suffice for more than a few hours of breathing, or much more !!

I'm going to do some table corner calculations.

Edit: they are done, see below, it takes less than 30W to heat the air of an adult at rest! So we can use a battery!

Basing yourself on a snorkeling mask is a possibility, it turns out that I have 1, I also have pipes, batteries and PC fans ... I just need to find the heating element and the regulation and I can make a prototype!

Edit2: as suggested here we can make a UV disinfection mask too! No doubt less energy-consuming, but disinfection does not prevent the other!

Thermal power = mass capacity of air * the maximum mass flow of an adult man.

Women and children have a lower volume.

c) 100 L per minute is roughly 130 g of air per minute for air entering at 0 ° C.

Either a flow of 2.2 g / s in "effort" mode
Or a flow rate of 0.22 g / s in "rest" mode

d) The thermal mass capacity of the air is approximately 1004 J / kg.K

It therefore requires a power of 2.2 / 1000 * 1004 * 100 = 220 W in sport mode and only 10 times less at rest, i.e. 22 W

22 W is nothing at all the use of an electric battery is possible!

Lipo batteries are 200W per kg ... a single kg of battery would therefore last 1 hour in sport mode and 1 hours at rest!

We can therefore consider a machine weighing a few kg ...

These powers are voluntarily increased! But you will have to add some accessories like fans ... we will be below 30W in any case! 8) 8) 8)

Yes and I said it: a small intercooler would be enough (or simply a long enough grooved pipe) ... the flow was very low, the air will have plenty of time to cool naturally in a 1 to 2 m pipe!

Do not forget that you can breathe air very well at 60, 70 ° C, 90 ° C ... in the sauna!

And you can put it in your hand in an oven at 300 ° C ... as long as you don't touch the walls! : Cheesy:

By cons we burn from 45 ° C in water ...

Simple and clear answer: the air flow is too fast to see the viruses destroyed, even at 100 degrees celsius.
A cartridge or Hepa filter is more effective. Finally if we can say.

Ah yes? 0.2 g / s is it fast? It all depends on the section / surface of the heater ... Before concluding too quickly and when we don't know or we are talking in a vacuum * the best is to be silent!

In a few seconds at 100 ° C the coronavirus is kaputt!

This mask will obviously include a classic filtration system as well: it is noted above! Air heating is an additional security!
