Coronavirus: effectiveness of types of masks and manufacture of a homemade respiratory mask
published: 26/03/20, 15:05
Here is a little tutorial how to make sanitary masks in less than 10 minutes with 5 mm of filter cotton made from DIY masks that we can (still ??) find everywhere!
As our dear authorities are unable to provide masks to the population, let's be clever and resourceful!
These masks can be decontaminated in the oven for 5 minutes at over 70 ° C + 1 shot of aerosol disinfection product as soon as you get home!
It's not paranoid, the Covid19 virus can attach to airborne particles: health-pollution-prevention / the-covid19-can-it-be-semi-air-via-the-particles-pollution-pollens-fog-t16375.html

0) Wash your hands
1) Gather the material ...
- I have on hand 5 masks (including 2 already used ...)
- Some cotton pads left by my many ex (just enough to make 2 masks)
- Bulk wipes (for joining the kid)
- Sanytol (for later ...)
2) Distribute the cotton pads on the 1st mask, putting a little disinfectant
3) Gather the 2 masks, I thought I should staple them but it fits well with the 2 elastic bands:
4) Must make a joint for the kid otherwise it does not stick enough to his face, loose wipe simply stapled ...
5) Do not forget to identify the masks and the sub-masks so as not to mix everything!
It may be necessary to improve the seal between the 2 masks?
It's ugly but it's cheap, fast, available and maybe it can save lives!
If you have suggestions for improvement or remarks ... I take it!
