VW Beetle consumption, good joke!

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

VW Beetle consumption, good joke!

by Christophe » 11/09/08, 21:05

In 1948, the first Beetle consumed 7,5 liters of petrol per 100 km.
In 2008, the new Beetle consumes ... still 7,5 liters of petrol per 100 km.

The mass of the car is not important: what matters is the payload ...

It is still a 5 seater. But today, 5 adults are larger and weigh more than 5 adults 30 years ago. So the payload has increased, right? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:
