Move Alternative and Mobility Week

by Christophe » 11/09/07, 10:15

This is the message of the government campaign as part of the week of eco-responsibility to develop or / and encourage professional travel by privileging, walking, cycling, public transport, carpooling.

Image

Knowing that the annual cost of a particular car (6000 euros) is nearly 20 times higher than that related to the use of public transport (310 euros) and 60 times higher than the cost of a bike equipped and maintained (96 euros ) ... "change our habits, adopt sustainable modes of transport, more respectful of the environment"

Platelets are distributed to calculate the impact of our daily trips. Indeed thanks to a "eco-mobile calculator "we can estimate the expenses generated by commuting and the amount of Co2 rejected.

A way to raise awareness about carpooling or physical exercise, a citizen approach driven by the Ministry of Ecology, Development and Sustainable Development in conjunction with ADEME, as part of the European Week of 2007 mobility, from 16 to 22 September.

Formidable!

These advertising campaigns that go in the right direction.

(And at the same time a little voice tells me:
soon, the bicycles will be registered, with compulsory insurance, since it will no longer be considered a displacement of leisure, helmet and mandatory vest, why not technical control, and obviously a tax, for congestion on roads and new bike paths to build... )

This is going in the right direction, but the state has always acted like this:
Incentives to invest in a project, to behave differently, to think well .. And once the movement is taken and widespread application,
Patatras, the taxing machine shows his nose!

Moreover, Bachelot made the convoy to go to China ...
But it was not cycling, sailing, walking or swimming (like Mauresmo)

Before in Belgium, it was necessary to have a license plate on the bicycles, plates which one generally has to look for in the small shops for the villages or the communes.
