Biomass power plant

Near my home in Saarland, a biomass power plant is in preparation.

They are going to bring by oil barge and burnt it to make electricity.

Okay, sorry, technical details, I haven't seen them but I think it's just nonsense.

Rather than burning the oil, it is better to put it in the engines.

Unless someone has a better approach than me to tell me what it is for !!!
