mdi.lu has a new site with something new:
- A compressed air bicycle,
- A compressed air boat.
To see if it will see the day ...

Re: New MDI site with new products
And they'll be out ... next year I guess?
ps: cycling is perhaps the only technologically interesting route ...

Re: New MDI site with new products
compressed air is heavier than electric with equal autonomy ... in their site the only one that could be useful is the forklift: even the electric forklift have counterweights in addition to the batteries
but if they were realistic he would install their compressed air engine on a classic elevator without inventing the bizarre machine that we see on their site
compressed air has another advantage: very fast recharging without wear, unlike the batteries, so practical for a machine that does not move away: no disadvantage of recharging it several times a day

Re: New MDI site with new products
And the "generator"? Too bad they do not give performance? Next year too? Ah OK thank you!
Between us the idea is original because the capacity is not limited by a weight to be transported, as in a vehicle! This thing would be interesting enough to store solar energy, without the need for a dam to store water by pumping at peak hours!
Now, since it is mainly needed at night, I fear it is noisy enough? Finally never heard of a put-put rolling and it can be soundproofed!

Re: New MDI site with new products
Computer generated images have no mechanical performance
I think I have to remind you of these 2 studies by the Mines de Paris (much more complete than what MDI has never broadcast ...)
https://www.econologie.com/telechargemen ... nes-paris/
https://www.econologie.com/telechargemen ... nes-paris/
The MDI technology is not stronger than the ideal gas law and must submit to thermodynamic cycles ... after we can retry the debate that we already had years ago ... I rather recommend reading of these 2 studies ...

Re: New MDI site with new products
the compressed air is not necessarily noisy ... do not take compressed air screwdrivers in the garage as an example!
compressed air can be useful but alas it seems that MDI does not even understand it and continues to sell wind and computer generated images

Re: New MDI site with new products
Useful for recovering wasted energy ... it's the only interesting energy path ... the rest is pipo!
But when we criticize Guy Negre and MDI they threaten libel lawsuits ... (case lived on this forum in 2005...)

Re: New MDI site with new products
Yes, thank you, it's a bit of the study I was waiting for.
there is given a power between 110W 1,7kW at best.
it would go for lighting and / or small electric consumption, because it would be well to count that in winter not only the amount of available sun would be too low, but it is there where the energy needs would be the greatest and also where the yields of such systems would be the lowest (since they are not filled to capacity!)
With a relatively high cost per unit, I fear the worst for depreciation.
I'm afraid you're all right: wind! And more wind (but nice presentation to attract the gogos of investors)
Looks like Guy's son Cyril is more and more involved?

Re: New MDI site with new products
I think he's been involved since I met Guy Negre in 2002 ...
ps: the study was on econology since 2008 ... certainly posted in another subject ...
