Opel Ampera. Consumption: 1.6L / 100km and CO2: 40gr / km?

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Opel Ampera. Consumption: 1.6L / 100km and CO2: 40gr / km?

Consumption and discharges of CO2 in Opel prospectus about its hybrid Ampera electric car with range extender.

It's a safe bet that this consumption and emissions of CO2 do not take into account the energy sector reloading or gray energy manufacturing / recycling, just as the introduction of Autobio mag had aptly remarked:

So what are the standards for measuring consumption?

I pass on the outright lie of "unlimited autonomy" ... I thought the Germans were more rigorous than that ... : Shock:

Coincidence? 40 gr / km CO2 is CO2 indirect discharges of mitsu i-Miev (and therefore psa ion) : https://www.econologie.com/forums/mitsubishi ... t6280.html I do not see how a hybrid can do the same ...

This is false advertising ... good one is accustomed.

and I do not understand that a rigorous cycle is not set up to estimate consos hybrid vehicles.

Eg a soft term 100% electric, electric kWh / 100 km measured at the charging socket
and a normal course (with tip 120 km / h) thermal 100%, L / 100 km ...

not very complicated!

We must bait the customer (I did not say ripped off!) : Lol: .
Do not dream, a vehicle of such a template can not be as low consumption.
It is a safe bet that taking into account the electric consumption (based on the electric from a thermal power plant) the consumption "overall" is greater than 4l / 100 km.

Just a note: OK for the recharging energy (which corresponds to a "full" and which has its "weight" of CO² depending on the country's mix); there, it is a "real" deception ...

For embodied energy, it is not counted either for "classic" vehicles; the CO² rejection is the same for consumption; not in production ... So when such and such a car is advertised at 120 g / km, it's the same, it's false ...

The ads are not misleading as they remain within required or authorized by law. Now it would actually review the required criteria which do not correspond to reality on the ground. After if people get caught in the trap without thinking !!! It's like those who play believing they will eventually win and for who wins, there is a multitude of suckers who lose.

The law applies only to a certain type of lie clearly formalized; the pub is more malignant by not saying but suggesting and by influencing supposedly "free" consumers.

That's what you notice in writing:
After if people get caught in the trap without thinking !!!

This deal is, however, unbalanced since on the one hand there are professionals well trained in manipulation techniques and on the other perfect "amateurs": lying is a profession!

Do you think that those who gamble are so naive that they don't know they are more likely to lose than to win, despite the "lies" of the gambling organizations? When the ads affirm that the electric vehicle is a clean vehicle: how many believe it ... especially among professionals like auto journalists. You only see what you want to see because these professionals usually live in polluted cities and usually cater to people in cities as well, but do not live near a nuclear power plant.

About Thermal Power VS overall balance on the CO2, read the answer I gave yesterday Tornado:

https://www.econologie.com/forums/taux-de-co ... 10722.html

Christophe on the other subject wrote:(...)

According https://www.econologie.com/forums/liste-et-p ... 10338.html the iMiev / iOn has a range of 150 km for a battery capacity 16kWh

Assume a 80% charge efficiency, we must consume 16 / 0.8 = 20kWh to 150km.

therefore consumes 0.13 kWh / km (lower than 1ere approach probably due to regenerative braking and other power management optimization, may be that the charging efficiency is lower as well, some).

So in the end it led to: 41 + = 0.13 90 * 53 gr / km in France.

It is interesting to see that the "CO2 displacement" part is much less important than the "gray" part, the proportion being from 1/5 to 4/5! Caution valid for France where nuclear provides a low rate CO2. Germany, 600 gr / kWh would have: 41 + = 0.13 600 119 * g / km is the equivalent of a recent average diesel car in economical driving but a small gasoline.

But as I often say to "defend" the electric car: there is not ONLY CO2 in life! The air pollution in the city kills more people than traffic accidents: https://www.econologie.com/forums/les-morts- ... t1901.html

Also to be completely honest in the process we must also take into account the embodied energy of the thermal car. It is recognized that manufacturing is about the equivalent of 20 000 km covered (varies but average): https://www.econologie.com/forums/fabricatio ... t8713.html

(...) About 2.5 Tons CO2 / car manufactured! 2500 kg CO2 ca represents 140 g / km approximately 18 000 km covered !!

Over a lifetime of 200 000 2.5 km these T CO2 are therefore an increase of 2500 / 200 12.5 = gr / km

Let's say that recycling is the same (which seems credible) or 25 gr / km.

Interestingly, we find ourselves in the same proportion but reversed:

Thermal = 1 / 5 gray CO2, 4 / 5 of propulsion CO2
Electric = 4 / 5 gray CO2, 1 / 5 CO2 of propulsion (in France)

So in the end, we must increase the rate CO2 / km of thermal car 25 gr / km to take into account the embodied energy / recycling.
