For those who do not know:
http://www.france5.fr/citadins-du-futur/

I did not see you talking about it on the forumI hope I have searched well.
These are young people who retapent an old house with objects of recovery.
I saw only a few episodes, I try to get them all back there. Too bad they are paid on the site. :P

We see among others the rebuilding center of Portland (Oregon, USA).

The Rebuilding Center is a company that recovers and sells building materials and interior decorative elements (planks, bricks, beams, ...)
A municipal order requires any new construction to use 50% of recovered materials.

Thousands of tons of raw materials are thrown away daily and end up in landfills. To limit this pollution, the Rebuilding Center employs deconstruction brigades which estimate at 75% the proportion of materials that can be recovered on the demolition sites.

I do not know if this kind of enterpise exists in France.

I made all the doors of the kitchen furniture, at home, in pallet wood. It's not recovering that? In addition, given the price of materials, I do not understand that everyone does not!

Thank you Snono, it goes straight to my heart. It's rustic, certainly, but unique! : Wink:

Very good !
But where to find them?
At the rebuilding center, we see that we can recover everything: doors, sanitary ... But where to find thrown sinks?

in "civilized" countries at the recycling center, with us on the side of the road, hence the interest of driving in a van : Mrgreen:

recycling is the future and if your morality is a bit elastic, it is the most profitable human recycling : Evil:
