Bonjour à tous

I just watched an Arté show (http://www.arte.tv/guide/fr/051091-038/xenius) concerning recycling (in general) at a given moment we ask the expert: what to do with old computers? His answer: they are dismantled and then sent where they need it (basically).

Knowing that a computer from 10 years ago is 1000 times less powerful and consumes 10 times more electricity (I invent the figures there) is it really a solution to recover them ???

It would first be necessary to be sure that there is really reuse: the term "dismantled" leaves room for doubt ...

On the question of power consumption and power:
-1) It is true that recent computers are less greedy, but we remain on fairly modest absolute quantities (which is not the case for data centers).
-2) the power boost is more for video and "advanced" games and is not useful for basic office applications.
