The "cradle to cradle" now has its French-speaking community

Circular economy players launched the C3C Community of the French-speaking world on April 2 in Paris. The movement's mission is to unite the players in the field and disseminate their vision of self-sufficient, ecological and healthy industrial production.

This means that the idea of C2C, first popularized by the famous American-German binomial William McDonough, architect, and Michael Braungart, chemist, has taken off in recent years in France and other European countries.

The epithet “C2C” refers to the “cradle-to-cradle” design, translate “from cradle to cradle”, derived from eco-design which is part of a circular economic model where “waste” does not exist more and everything becomes "raw material". The end of life of a product would only be an end of cycle, the components of the product can either be used for the manufacture of new products, or reintegrate nature by biodegradation without creating harmful pollution. Inspired directly by nature, where waste does not exist, the C2C model amounts to rethinking human society as an "ecosystem", in perfect harmony with its neighboring natural ecosystems.
