Paypal raises payment issues

by the middle » 20/11/09, 07:48

Hello,
Recently, I wanted to make purchases on the net, and my financial transaction was refused by paypal.
After researching, I discovered that quite a few net sellers complain of losing customers simply because the customers no longer know how to pay over the net.
I went to my paypall account, and it seems that I have to follow a fairly slow procedure: you have to confirm your account : Shock:
My Visa card is playing tricks on me too (my account is positive)
You also encountered this problem ...
I wonder if my passage from exploring to firefox is not linked to this
problem too .. :?

I assure you this is not new ... and it has nothing to do with your browser.

Let me explain: with our shop we used paypal, as a seller, between mid 2006 and mid 2008.

We finally stopped paypal after 2 because the costs were really too high and we had a REAL VSE via the CIC since the end of 2006.

During this period, many customers, including 2 or 3 friends, complained of not being able, like you, to make a direct payment by credit card: customer account credited and whatever the type of card.

I believe that agricultural credit was systematically blocked, for example. Obviously all the future blocked ex-customers have not contacted us ....

In my opinion, all this does not come from paypal but from banks (see Visa / Mastercard) which considers paypal as a disloyal competitor ... and therefore block certain payments ... Papayl not being an officially bank (we know not really what it is)

Paypal is therefore made to make bank transfers -> paypal -> merchant and not credit card payments.

It seems logical to me .. : Evil:

Ben changes creamery : Mrgreen:

A merchant who offers paypal as payment is not, in my opinion, serious ... but good if it is necessarily for ebay ... : Cheesy: : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

on the other hand when you go on the forum of ebay (since paypal is ebay) you realize that there is a lot of problem even in the management of transfers .... to avoid if possible;)

Ah even for transfers?

On the other hand, sorry to say it but it's no secret, but paypal is often the tool of the "dishonest of the net" ... since you can open an account with a simple email ... even if from a threshold (5000 € I believe) they ask to fax them a proof of address ...

What is even more bizarre is that the first airline company that messed up for payment contacted me by such, they asked me for the first 6 digits of my visa card, and they successfully completed the transaction! what is that thing... :?
