The G4 and G9 bases were the poor parents of energy savings, this is partly resolved because Megaman continues to innovate by presenting the 1st economical bulb in G9 format

No and I don't think there will be anything in fluorescent, the G4 is too compact ... maybe "leds" which will work in 230V AC directly?
