Already tested these LED bulbs?

by slide » 15/07/07, 13:53

Hello,

I am new to this forum, but I have been interested in LED lighting for many years.

I would like to know if anyone has ever had experience or tested the following LED bulbs.

The 1st is from the same manufacturer as the Sirius. It is announced at 600 Lumen for 10W (consumed?). Although it is not the most aesthetic, it theoretically (and finally!) Achieves the performance of a 60W incandescent lamp!

The second is from another manufacturer. It is announced at 2-450 Lumen for 540W (consumed?).

We therefore see that the (theoretical) yield is 60 Lumen / Watt. So it corresponds to that of the Sirius and it becomes interesting for the purpose of a real replacement of the energy-consuming lamps of our houses.

For a better future!

Hi and welcome,

For those who like the Albator look, the first will be all the rage :)

In terms of performance, I think it is greater than a 60W equivalent since the Sirius is already more than 40W equivalent.

For the second, the base resembling bcp to that of the sirus, I suppose that the design is similar ...

Otherwise, in general, good quality fluorescent bulbs always light better than leds, even high performance leds (I'm not even talking about "shit" leds). The quality / price / lifespan is even better with fluorescent lights (but it may change in a few years)

I had fun doing a calculation with a fluorescent lamp from your site (the Megamann E27 11W) and the LED lamp E27 10W. If we assume that this LED lamp is of good quality and fulfills its promises, it would have similar performance and its damping per operating hour would be lower for a power consumption which should be around.

Anyway, I will order a sample of this lamp and keep you informed of the tests (actual consumption, temperature, efficiency, ...) in case you are interested.

Best regards !

Attention, the E27 is not a significant model because it is a variable lighting model therefore technologically more complicated and therefore more expensive ...

It should rather be compared to this model:

Sorry this is the only "classic" model you have.

Regarding the performance of your tests, of course that interests us, since we have already made some test campaigns with several members of the forum and your testimony will be welcome :)

I would like to congratulate you on the seriousness of the tests carried out. It is true that we see everything in LED lamps ... and that it is always useful to warn consumers.

As promised, I will do a detailed test of this 10W LED lamp and post it on this forum. But it may take at least 2 weeks before I receive the sample and 1 more week so that I can take the test.

No problem for the details.

ps: it is not my tests but our tests (of the members) it is not only me who worked on the question :)

LED IN LIGHTING USE ...

by fthanron » 13/10/07, 18:12

Hello,
very attracted to the subject of lighting for several years, here
some relatively interesting links:
A magazine in American: http://www.ledsmagazine.com/
A Taiwanese company that I have been studying from afar for some time but whose prices remain prohibitive for my purse in order to carry out tests ...:o: http://www.neobulb.com/
Good luck to all.
