The How it Works part is really very poor so I ask myself the following question: it would not be the thing that we could find in the 70s in France which plays on the phase shift of the current in order to "simulate" reactive power to blind the meter?
Indeed; an electricity meter can only count the active power that will "simulate" a drop in purely virtual consumption ....
In other words it's a great scam to EdF or your electricity supplier ... and in no case does this save electricity ....
Edf has also tracked down scammers of this kind who paid quite a lot for what I heard ...
André and the electricians of forum will be able to say a lot more on the question ...
ps: I say and say it again ebay = ebayz

You are probably right, for the functioning of the "economizer", since it plugs into a socket in the house ...
Item location: Bangkok, Thailand : this explains that.
Ebay, Ybaiz, but, this “knack” was explained by a very experienced electrician from forum, about a 5hp engine, whose counter counted less…

Here ! Is it hot? the previous pages and the Ebay link have disappeared! ..
Suddenly, it will also change, the title of the subject ...

I fired the ybaz links because outdated ...
I'm going to change the title too, you're right.
To really reduce its bills, its impact on the environment and to preserve resources for future generations there is only one way: parsimony and stopping the energy waste!
For this you can already start by knowing which devices you use which "puff" the most juice with the PM230 available on the econology shop (or econological? I don't know too much ): https://www.econologie.com/shop/economet ... prise.html

Ah !!! But it interests me your PM230 !!!
I only knew the equivalent products offered by CONRAD & CO and they had the disadvantage of not being able to measure consumption greater than 3000W.
Many appliances (dryer, oven, see some water heaters) are beyond.
Your manual is not very precise: 16A
16A x 220V = 3520W
16A x 240V = 3840W
The PM 230 can measure these values there ???
By cons I could not measure the consumption of my 0.95W and 1.35W diode bedside lamps

The maximum measurable intensity is 16 A and it is well noted:
"Voltage analysis: from 190 volts to 276 volts"
"Power analysis: from 0 W to 4416 W"
4416 corresponds well to 276V * 16A.
It is therefore the amps which predominate and therefore if you have 230 at home it is 3680 W measurable ...
Otherwise this device is much more efficient than that of Conrad (100% Chinese) ... just read the different functions it offers to be convinced (including the bi schedule very interesting if you are there) especially considering the Quite minimal difference in price ... There is no need to say we are gating you ...!
You just have to order it with a kilo of nuts (apparently the ones we have contain more saponin than the average of the other nuts but as we never tested others ... we can't compare)
For your diodes I am not sure that it cannot measure the kwh if the measurement period is long enough ... I would have to do a test with the leds that I just received ...
