Hello,
I have the old PM230 which measures poorly low consumption. For the latter, do you have a device to recommend to me?
It seems the PM231 is doing little better ...
Have a good day

Re: measure the low power consumption
Surely a device like that
A "PM230 / E energy meter"
This is to measure the consumption on a socket and see the standby consumption for example.
I had one to measure the injection of a wind turbine inverter.
The problem is, it's unidirectional.
It measures what comes out of the socket.
To measure what goes into the socket you have to tweak the welds

It's not for me, it's for the device. He said to himself here that for the PM230, it was for a power less than 5 W

yes I have the PM230 as said above

Re: measure the low power consumption
0.01A at 230V is 2.3VA
So my question remains the same: what is low consumption for you?

Re: measure the low power consumption
It measures well from 0 but does not give the comma for W.
For my EMT707CTL 16A / 230V anyway.
Three laptop chargers (5V 2A) give zero W or VA.
One of connected to a Lithium ion charger in maintenance displays 1W.
But it's no more precise to fine-tune to the nearest 0,1

Re: Measure low power consumption
I have a "Tevion" brand plug which measures from 0,5W with a number after the comma:
It was originally equipped with a German plug, I modified it with a French plug and adding a cable.

A 10 A, 2300 W model measures from 0,23 W https://www.elektro-material.ch/fr/shop ... va-1262886
MUST this to measure current laptop power supplies.
