Firefox 70.0 "Enhanced protection against tracking" the absolute horror!

by Christophe » 24/10/19, 14:31

Mouth of the day, half of the sites I visit since the last version of Firefox no longer work well!

All this because of the blocker of cookie and trackers (pub, social network ...) activated by default .... so saying to protect the private life (the private life on Internet is of the same level as the democracy in China ...) ... Oh yes it protects privacy because it makes the sites unusable !!

I understand now why I see, for some time, the pub of shit untargeted (calvin klein, magazine of fashion ... the trash of the web!) On this forum on Firefox !! Not to block everything is to harm the user !!

Of course this feature is configurable, but 95% of people will not do it and will think that the site they are visiting is buzzing ... and the reconfiguration is not easy ...

Well hello Firefox, after 15 years of life together, I bar! There are limits !!

Tested all my favorite sites in the bar, 100% work perfectly. Repeat a clean install or reset Firefox.

Solution that I found:

Click on the shield that is to the left of the URL and disable the protection against tracking for the site, and all is solved ...

Econology works perfectly since :D

Note: In the 69 version, I had FB links that were blocked by default. I disabled the tracking protection and everything is OK again.

It is true that it is problematic for the managers of sites which are not necessarily informed of the default activation of this protection in the new version.

If 100% of the sites are working at your place, you may not notice the blocked functions, that you have not activated the function or that you are not under the 70.0 because simple sites like this forum are even impacted ... as I just said about ads ...

The function is activated at the same time as two ad blockers and a popup blocker ...

Really? Bin not at home if I put the severe mode ...

What is important to remember from this video is rather the word of the cop:

"It's more a state of alcohol than a state of shock!" mdr : Cheesy:

Unthinkable to hear that in France, the guy is already handcuffed to the ground waiting for his cell sobering ...

At home, it's super severe mode and it works.
