solar charger for battery + usb

by gerald2545 » 07/10/13, 23:47

Hello,
I am looking for a universal solar charger for a smartphone, but which would also be able to charge any type of battery (not just the classic AAA and AA - what the freeloader does for example). Kind of this product: http://fr.duracell.com/fr-FR/produit/ch ... tiple.jspx, but in solar version .... is that something that speaks to you?

Thank you in advance if you have references and / or experiences with this kind of product.

Here are 2 good models of universal solar charger: https://www.econologie.com/shop/chargeur ... p-478.html
et https://www.econologie.com/shop/chargeur ... p-471.html with USB output.

As for recharging the batteries, it exists but I do not think that this is a good idea in the end because it requires a large charge power to properly charge the batteries (lifetime) ...

In fact it is better to charge the batteries slowly (for their lifetime).

But when you charge a mobile phone, you need a minimum power, quite high for that matter, to power the phone ... and then you are in a hurry to use the phone ...

On a portable solar charger there is a microscopic solar cell which produces very little power, therefore very incapable of charging a phone ... this is why there is a battery inside, which serves as a relay. I guess you wouldn't want to leave your phone outside in the sun for 8 hours to charge it!
