Cold Cathode Fluocompact Lamps

by Petrus » 26/05/12, 18:42

2 of my compact fluorescent lamps have failed at 1 month intervals after only 4 and a half years of service, they are of different brand and were not in the same room.
The failure was the same on both lamps: a preheating filament that dropped.
I may be paranoid, but I think this is again planned obsolescence.

Fluorescent tubes with cold cathode do not have a preheating filament and are therefore much more reliable, and icing on the cake they contain less mercury: http://www.treehugger.com/interior-desi ... rcury.html

But where can we buy it in France?
