Hi I am looking for the consumption of garage doors, for a cycle (1 opening and full closing).
The engine in question is a SupraMatic P of the Hormann brand.

I know the power of the motor is 500W and that's about it.
Also I don't know how to take it, without making a measurement by consometer to evaluate this consumption.
So if you have an idea I'm interested.

By timing the opening and closing times, we can have, if not an exact value, at least an upper bound.
For example, if the full cycle runs the engine for one minute, the consumption is less than 500 * 1/60 = 8,3 Wh per cycle.
Actual consumption will depend on the weight of the door, friction, wind speed ... and can only be measured.

There are power measurement devices which also give consumption in KWh over the chosen time !!
Otherwise, simply if the power is 500W over one minute to open, the consumption is 0,5KWx1 / 60h = 8,3millieth of KWh or 8,3 ten thousandths of € at random to 50% !!
Unless you open and close every minute, consumption is not high !!

If I take 1 min for closing and 1 min for opening
Its 500 * 2/60 = 16.6 Wh per cycle
If I use my garage regularly for example 6 cycles per day (family with 2 cars)
(16.6 * 6 * 365) / 1000 = 36.354 kWh / year
Or less than an answering phone (45 kWh / year)

You were really scared for your budget
