Data logging system

by ojal » 21/03/11, 08:35

Hello,

I want to equip myself with a data recording system to carry out different experiments.
The first ones that I want to realize are temperature measurements in solar assemblies.
I would like a system that runs on a PC and can record multiple channels simultaneously.

For my first assembly I will need temperature probes. Where can I find my happiness?

Thank you in advance for your advice ;-)

Goods.

I had already seen this nice product.
In my research, I am looking for an acquisition system on several simultaneous channels. I imagine a software on PC with a USB box on which we come to connect the various sensors ...?

Hello,
If you are not looking at all done (turnkey ready to work) and you are a bit of a handyman, you have to look at the arduino side (look for example garduino which is a small achievement that manages a micro greenhouse ).
the difficulty, you have to understand a little,
the advantage, we make our product to measure.

There are digital multimeters with USB connection that can be used as a basis.

To measure something other than Volts or Amperes, just equip them with the right probes.

The downside is that you have to use one multimeter per measurement channel ...

Thank you for the "ad", you can also use this one, if you have T ° probes which respond in voltage, then you have to convert the scales:

(4 ways but is not autonomous like the other, therefore requires a pc next to it)

The ARDUINO system is a system that I did not know but that tempts me a lot ... I just need to understand if it is 'simple' to save data on SD card, memory other or by other method ...

Thank you ;-)
