The Korean brand will present at the Frankfurt Motor Show a new hybrid concept car. His ix-Metro prefigures a small city car and rejects only 80 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
If Hyundai first intends to stand out at the Frankfurt show, which is fast approaching with its electric i10, the Korean manufacturer will also exhibit a brand new concept car. After the ix-onic of the last Geneva Motor Show, this time the ix-Metro, which prefigured a future future small city hybrid.
Under its auspices of Toyota iQ bodybuildée, the ix-Metro measuring 3,93 meters long indeed hides a hybrid petrol engine. The thermal block is an 3 cylinder that develops 1.0L and comes with direct injection, a turbo and a six-speed dual clutch gearbox. No detail has yet been unveiled on the power and characteristics of the electric motor, the releases of CO2 ix-Metro are still confined to 80 grams per kilometer.
It remains to be seen if the serial version that could ensue will keep this "beefy" air of small crossover or will become a wise city.
