Numerous interventions by the firefighters of Verviers and Liège this night

The firefighters of Liège and Verviers were put to the test during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, following violent thunderstorms, which only caused material damage.

Verviers firefighters were called in to intervene following damaged roofs, but also trees lying on the ground. They carried out between twenty-five and thirty interventions. The Herve and Battice firefighters also had a hard time since many roofs were damaged by strong winds and the accompanying rain. In the region, in addition to severe thunderstorms, wind and rain, hailstones fell causing extensive damage. The firefighters had many interventions including the evacuation of a scout camp in Basse Bodeux. The Liège firefighters also received dozens of calls. These were mainly requests from individuals to carry out pumping operations in flooded cellars on the territory of the communes of Chaudfontaine, Beaufays, Esneux, Herstal and Liège. (HIE)

With us it was the night "before" last.

3 thunderstorms in a row between 3 and 5 a.m. (maybe the same one going around in circles ???) with 2 power cuts ...

A few hours before I had observed the sky (due south): it was constantly illuminated by lightning (no interruption), it was big storms ...

I pray that none will one day make hailstones big enough to break our solar bay ... : Cry:
