Students from Mines serving the RAQUET eco-neighborhood

Students from Mines serving the future RAQUET eco-district.

Five students in the final year of the Engineering cycle at the Douai School of Mines, Samuel BOUDEWEEL, Vincent DECOORNE, Jérôme MOUCHON, Sébastien RAOUT and Maeva ROCHE, have launched a project to study the design and implementation of a wood boiler in the future RAQUET eco-district straddling DOUAI and SIN-LE-NOBLE, the foundation stone of which will be laid in 2009.

This project is carried out under the supervision of the Urban Community of DOUAISIS. Coming from the Energy Engineering, Environment and Industry, and Civil Engineering options of the School, these motivated students benefit from the lessons learned during their course and the support of their tutors Matthieu STIVALA (CAD) and Bernard BAUDOIN (School of Mines) to serve sustainable development.

Maeva ROCHE, project communications officer.
