Marinaleda or a successful self-management experience

by cortejuan » 23/03/13, 18:59

Hi,

I had my moment of happiness in the 13-hour newspaper on France 2. A report focused on the village of Marinaleda in Andalusia. This village thanks to an extraordinary mayor turns into self-management. The unemployment rate is 5%. No homeless, rent around 15 €, crèche with meals and possibly sleeping 12 € (if my memories are correct).

How do they do ? They turn into self-management, self-construction, self-exploitation of the local olive resource. All this little world is paid the same price, everyone seems happy and proud of this initiative.

What is ultimately terrible is to say that the wealth generated and redistributed equitably is more than enough to support a small town (around 3000 inhabitants unless I am mistaken).

Their oil is one of the best in Spain.

But I break an open door, however, how long will our inequitable system last?

Here, this report brightened my day.

cordially
