I watched yesterday Enter the Void, a movie uh ... decapper, conceptual, awesome, trashy, witty, love, erotic, deep, space, hovering, weird .... really tricky to call it so .. .It innovates! Atmosphere assured !!
This is the kind of movie we love or hate I think ... personal I chose my camp! Lietseu and Maloche, I think you will love too!
Perfect to watch for an 2ieme party of eve party!

Attention "sensitive souls" to abstain ... no pun intended! Tears assured for others ...
Edgar Noé, spiritual son of Stanley Kubrick? Am not enough cinema specialist but I would say maybe ... it was he who had made the "famous" Irreversible, I reassure you Enter the Void is less violent ... well I think (forbidden at least 16 years old anyway ) ...
ps: To see in HD bluray if possible, it falls well just released! I do not think there is an 3D version but it would have been ... mind-blowing, really!

Quick summary:
Oscar and his sister Linda have recently moved to Tokyo. Oscar survives small drug deals while Linda is a stripper in a nightclub. One evening, denounced by one of his clients, Oscar is shot by the police in the toilets of a bar. As his soul breaks away from his body, Oscar remembers his promise to his sister never to abandon him. Begins then a long wandering of the spirit through Tokyo ...
Scenario
Gaspar Noé was inspired by Bardo Thödol, or Tibetan Book of the Dead. In an interview1 given to Julien Hairault for the site Versusmag, he says:
"I was also very inspired by a Tibetan Book of the Dead - the one we talk about in the movie, which I discovered at the age of 18, at a time when I was reading a lot about death. and reincarnation. I really learned a lot about this book, learning in passing that it had also inspired Philip K. Dick a lot, and I decided to adopt its structure when Oscar died. book is about the journey of the spirit which takes place between death and reincarnation, a journey supposed to last 49 days. I was not 100% faithful to the book, but I still wanted to put it in place. scene this totally dis-functional and luminous astral journey, hence the importance, especially in the end scene, of these light effects during the hotel fuck scenes, where the light emanates from the bodies. "1
In the film, Alex loaned a copy of Oscar's Bardo Thödol for him to read. A scene shows them both discussing the book.
