I bought the PM 2 230 weeks ago and there are a few questions I am asking myself:
- How to reset the maximum measured power to zero?
Pressing for 5s of SET clears the accumulations but not the max. Ditto with the reset button.
- When empty, it measures 9W as the precision is +/- 10W, it could be normal but that means that mode 4 (cumulative time) is useless since it increases by 24 hours each day.
Is this normal or my PM 230 is defective?

This is a design "flaw" that we also noticed, you have to remove the batteries for 30 seconds to perform a "deep" reset.

Empty 9W? If this is the case for your 2 pm it is that there is a standby consumption of the device that you plug into it. So it is normal for the PM to cumulate this consumption even if it is not significant of the time of use of the device. Hence the need to fight against the watches.
The accuracy is not 10W but 0.01 A, ie at 230V, 2,3 W. The cumulative time increases by minutes as soon as the power exceeds 4.6W, minimum threshold.

The PM 230 plugged into the socket without anything connected to it, measures 9W.
The accuracy is not 10W but 0.01 A, i.e. at 230V, 2,3 W.
Manual page 12
Accuracy:
...
Power in Watt: +/- 5% of the measured value +/- 10W
The cumulative time increases per minute as soon as the power exceeds 4.6W, the minimum threshold.
I plugged it 2 days into the fridge socket and it measured 48 hours of operating time.
Ditto by leaving it 1J without anything connected to it, there is also 24 hours of operating time.

9W with 2 PM empty?
Otherwise there may actually be a problem, so we can exchange it for you ... but if it is the 2 that give 9W empty it would be really "fishy" ...
Try to do a "hard reset" by removing the batteries ...

I never said I had 2;)
I tested plugging it in without batteries after it reset, and it's the same.

0ups read my
Well if it displays 9W all the time it means that it has a zero problem.
