Citizen movement to demand the end of bitumen

by Samarion24 » 28/12/20, 20:40

Hello,
I want to launch a citizen movement
I live in Savoie in a valley where the air is increasingly polluted. 1 km from my home is a bitumen factory that releases tens of millions of m3 of smoke each year. This is a real health bomb, the smoke being composed of carcinogenic products, can also cause asthma and allergies. All of the bitumen plants on French territory contribute greatly to global warming. It is for these reasons that I would like the State to legislate to put an end to the use of bitumen in road construction in the short term, because alternative solutions exist. It is urgent to take action !!! We suffer from pollution!!! The Alps are at the forefront of realizing global warming. The current health crisis is terrible, but it is a unique chance to change the world. These are the reasons that prompted me to put a petition online asking to end its use.
Hoping to find your support
Sincerely,
Samuel

Copy from my post on the other thread:

There is no "bitumen factory" in the Alps, possibly storage.
Bitumen is a product of refining, no refinery in the Alps.

There are just asphalt plants.... Heated by fuel oil.... But let our friend do it.... The asphalt necessary for the maintenance of mountain roads will still arrive from further away... In heated trucks.... On fuel.... What's more.... With the heavy maintenance that these roads need and the quantities of aggregates so far taken on site.... It will be necessary to add the trucks to lower the aggregates..... Everyone wants the road maintained at their gate.... But very few want the inconvenience of the process necessary for this purpose...

For Chou, the title is more important than the facts (there is no bitumen factory but there are asphalt plants, nuance). We will appreciate in passing, the contempt for the victims.
We will still understand the concerns of local residents who do not want to come to this:

Victims of what? From the asphalt of the alpine roads?

Do like me.... Buy local.... A nuclear power plant 50km to the west another 80 to the east..... Electric wires between the two... And I got zero electric in the middle....

All you have to do is heat the asphalt plants with electricity.... And our friend will be happy... If, in return, he accepts a nuclear power plant or a dam that will drown his house under 40 meters of water. ..

Greatly, how much is it?
And what are the alternative solutions?

Search, it's available on the net. But as usual... you do nothing.
