One of the incongruous consequences of the division of labor is that there will always be a growing number of specialists to dissect in the most vicious studies the thousand and one ways in which we collectively organize our annihilation, without anyone getting so excited about it. to radically thwart this fatal project ... :frown:

Unfortunately, I fear that in the minds of our powerful and decision-makers, this has already been "folded" for a long time.
And this state of mind is also frequently encountered in "everyone".
There is even an expression for that: "After us, the flood".

Of course! These studies, like many others, are only intended to evaluate the various possible scenarios, once admitted that the limitation of our greenhouse gas emissions will be only weakly or not at all reduced ...

Climate: the G7 calls for "a significant reduction" in CO2 emissions

LEXPRESS.fr with AFP the 08 / 06 / 2015

The seven industrial powers have set an emission reduction target of 40% to 70% by 2050, compared to 2010.

A few months from Cop21, will the issue of climate change be taken seriously by our political leaders? On Monday, G7 leaders said they demanded a significant reduction in CO2 emissions in this century.

Concretely, the seven world powers gathered at this very moment in Bavaria have committed themselves, "at the top of the range", for a reduction in emissions of 40% to 70% by 2050, compared to 2010. This goal is supposed to correspond to a global response to climate change. With an ideal: "to achieve a global low-carbon economy in the long term".

A news greeted with enthusiasm by François Hollande. This Monday afternoon, the President of the Republic welcomed "ambitious and realistic commitments". A dynamic that he will try to maintain until December in Paris. "All the interventions today made it possible to achieve the objectives that I wanted to be able to place in this G7", he affirmed. A message supported by his American counterpart, Barack Obama. The US president hailed the progress towards a "solid deal" on the climate in Paris.
