the CO2 Global Atlas of Emissions
with the proportion by country, and upward or downward trends.
Very well done I find

I know that what matters to the environment is the global releases but the same map of emissions reported to the population would be interesting: there are about 4.5 times more Chinese than Americans ...
As well as the same map reported to the $ of GDP created ...

Hi Christopher,
It's here
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_des_ ... r_habitant
(digits up to 2007)
CO2 / inhabitant's palm of waste returns to Qatar with a staggering 55,4 Tonnes / year in 2007
The French are 6 tons, but with other millenary waste ...

Yes thank you but it is the equivalent mapmonde that I asked
Because reported to the inhabitants, ex:
2.2 for China
18.9 for the USA
It does not have the same visual effect in the "camembert" version as that of the raw rejects, but this one already gives a taste:
And on energy intensity (CO2 / $ GDP), there are some examples here with oil / $ GDP: https://www.econologie.com/forums/petrole-et ... t5022.html
ps: what is a "metric ton of CO2"? Never heard of it!

very good graphics!
The "metric" ton is the ton of the international system of units, namely 1000 kg
It was the Americans who invented this "metric" story because it reminds them of metric units, and by extrapolation, of the usual units in the scientific world (those they do not spontaneously use).
Because at home, the ton can be something other than 1000 kg: they have a system of lengths and masses archaic and error generator, of course.
