Here is a report from the France 2 news on alternative energy and our dependence on oil.

JT France2 the 04 / 01 / 2008 - 20H -
Will we one day be able to do without oil?

Thursday, the symbolic bar of 100 dollars a barrel had therefore been crossed ... Today, as we have seen, it still grazes them ... Let’s see tonight if we will one day be able to do without oil one day? ... Luc BAZIZIN, Laurent DESBOIS

Very nice this little report ...

And as often, it completely misses the point. He begins by explaining that renewable energy is insufficient by presenting beautiful wind turbines, what a joke !! Wind power is only a crumb of all the solar that we receive abundantly.

Then he says "solutions exist" like "the hydrogen engine". What about the manufacture of H2.

And above all, not a word about electric solar, if only photovoltaic, which already has the potential to cover all the electrical needs of humanity. This poses no technical problem. Now, it is true that the silicon technology of PV panels is not without reproach on its CO2 balance. But it would do without oil.

The little "miss" from ADEME still says that you can heat water with the sun on your roof ... nice conclusion!
