350 million euros to the Burmese state
Total operates part of the Yadana gas field in Burma, in the south of the country. The group, which produced 17,4 million cubic meters of gas per day last year, employs 270 people. According to Christophe de Margerie, "Yadana brought in 350 million euros to the (Burmese) state in 2006", but Total "cannot ask the government what it is doing with this money".
Or 6351 Million m3 per year. TOTAL therefore transfers € 5,5 cts per m3 of gas. One m3 of gas is sold for € 0,4 incl. Tax (4 cents per kWh) in France.

Would gas be more interesting than oil for oil tankers? In any case, the technical constraints of gas are more important (mainly transport) ...
