Negawatt offers a purely ideological solution without nuclear power. The problem is the distorted view we have on nuclear waste.

The real question is:Can we make the energy transition without oil?
Nuclear power accounts for 16% of our energy (France) and barely 5% in the world, so this is a bad question.

I did not know that nuclear power was simply part of an option in the plan energetic transition... since it is a mining energy therefore fossil and exhaustible ...

Wind turbine manufacturing also consumes a lot of fossil fuel. Not to mention recycling ...

Yes now that political politics have scuttled French know-how, it will be hard. We will be fixed fairly quickly on the possibilities of current private projects, as well as Chinese.
And then our president in his last speech promised a "timid" revival, since we realize that betting everything on renewable energies is a utopia, just good to fuel finance ...
