Methane can also be made by anaerobic digestion of green waste, wastewater treatment plant residues, ...
It is also preferable to use natural methane permafrost, hydromethane, ..., which will be released naturally by global warming rather than let it escape into the atmosphere to limit the greenhouse effect ( 20x greater than CO2)
This is not the ideal solution because it is not perennial in the long run, but if the final efficiency is greater than the direct use of methane in a heat engine or a thermal power plant ...
