coal fire on a grill is pretty special
coal absorbs little water, little is watered without the same problem as wood
what would be the advantage of wet coal? eg less risk breaking fine particle between the grate bar ... or less risk at every pelete fine dust flies directly without burning in the fireplace
Another possible reason: increase the duration of life of the grate bar
