Questions RAV4 Pantone?

Hello everybody

I don't know if this is the right place to write and therefore sorry in case.

I own a RAV4 (from 2004), it only drives on weekends, and being a biker next door (I let off steam otherwise :)), I must admit that I am rather "cushy" at the wheel, knowing it's not just me in the car.

Today, I would like to know, to know the procedure so that this old diesel pollutes less (I could resell it but here it is, I like this vehicle). So I started to look at bio fuel, but razing X hectares of wood to make rapeseed fields bothers me a bit. I also tried to "improve" my toxic gas emissions (add a catalytic converter, filters and others). But now, I have the impression that all this will not be enough. Also the Pantone engine interests me. I haven't found any convincing results for my type of engine, and I still wouldn't want to damage it. That said, it is the same engine as the Corolla (unless I am mistaken).

Questions therefore:
- are there companies that "sell" this process?
- who managed to do it on a rav4?
- are there "ready-made" engines?
- is it worth it ?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

If it's an old Diesel, you have to cut your fuel with well filtered frying oil ... There are specialists I believe on this forum... Do a research on crude vegetable oil (HVB) 8)

Hello Mogruith
What is a rav4?
Is it a 4x4, 1500kg, 202g / km of co2, 8,6L / km to let off steam on Sunday?
It started badly.
To modify it, the best thing is to remove the engine and make it a trailer : Cheesy:
You say an old 2004 diesel?
My advice: no hesitation, sell it and buy a good mountain bike or more for the family, it lets off steam, it does not pollute, and in addition it maintains fitness!
Life is not beautiful.

Thanks for the answers but ...

@ bmag: no it is not to let off steam on weekends (I would like to point out that I have a motorbike nearby) and therefore the rav4 (183m / co2, 1,8T) is used to take my little family to the countryside .

@all: when I'm talking about an old diesel, I'm kidding because it's only 4 years old (the technology must be older, I don't know)

@all again :) : I want to keep my vehicle, I can't afford to buy another one ......
