100% Pantone project on 6 cylinders online

by marc426 » 20/12/05, 23:55

Good evening everyone, I come to ask for advice for my project which is to pantonize my dodge dart which is equipped with a 6 in line (slant6 for friends). I thought at the base to use vegetable oil to feed it while taking advantage of the "refining" effect of the pantone reactor, but the vaporization of the oil seems complicated. I therefore fall back on the idea of feeding this engine with two motorbike carburetors (therefore much less fuel) supplied with petrol.

Having six cylinders, I plan to make two intake (and two exhaust) manifolds, each powered by a motorcycle fuel.

The question I ask myself is this: is it going to start !?
Well yes, must start somewhere! ... In other words, would I have fuel and oxidizer at the outlet of the reactor or do I need an air intake somewhere? The carbs of motorcycles doing their job normally, I should theoretically have a homogeneous air-petrol mixture and "ready to burn" but in practice what is it?
If someone has already tried the experience, it would be very nice to help me.

As for the realization of my intake manifold, do I have to have a certain volume of room (plenum in English but I can't translate) or else I make a beast three in one which will be directly connected to the reactor outlet? If I have to have a certain volume - who is used for what besides? - how to calculate it?

Thank you all for your help!
@soon

Last little idea: possibly a recovery pump system delivering directly into the intake manifold after the reactor to compensate for a possible acceleration hole.

Hello
The Doge dart, (170 cubic inches) family of Chrysler, I know it begins to be rare on the road, cylinder head in cast iron large central carburetor.
I got a Chrysler CORDOBA long time V8 360 cubic inch
(6.6 liter aprox) The Chryslers have a reputation for consuming a lot, I used 22 liters for 100km.
You should keep it original to walk around the exhibitions
of cars .

Hi André! Indeed it is rather rare these days but this car, I want to drive with it! It is also not a gem to put under glass, the engine is only a 6 in line and then, it is a Dart! ...
Anyway, I was planning to make dedicated collectors like that, everything can be removed and reassembled as at the origin, just in case ...
So here is my situation, if you have any comments on my idea of mounting, don't hesitate.

Well the thing is that I don't understand your problem with the fuel / oxidizer story.

I imagine that the startup is done on the classic power supply and we switch to Pantone when it's hot. Is that where I really got nothing?
