I wanted to know if we could run a superethanol boat engine

it is a 150 hp volvo penta in board engine
4cl in line of 3 liter with double body carburetor

the richness of the air essence mixture must be increased

the wealth is only adjustable for the slow motion: for full power you have to change the nozzle

I run small generator set with bioethanol E85 by enlarging the nozzle from diameter 0.73 to 0.9

ethanol is heavier than gasoline so the float floats better and it lowers the level in the fuel tank: I did not modify the float, but it would be useful to add a little weight, to keep the normal level and therefore to enlarge the nozzle less

It worked well this summer but now that it is colder, the start-ups are much longer than with petrol: I may have to add a petrol circuit before it gets too cold ...
