Hello,
just know if someone has tried to run an engine with pure alcohol and what do you know, I think it is possible but under what condition? There is the question!
Motor has pure alcohol?

The Indicars run on ethanol, yes. Before it was methanol.

Which doesn't mean it can work in any engine.

ethanol engine
just do a little tour on reduced model sites, the engines all run on methanol therefore based on plants, with an addition of oil from 2 to 4%.
originally it was castor oil, now replaced by synthetic oil.
and for nitromethane competition between 0 and 25%, depending on the regulations.
good a little off topic, I know.

Until the 50s, racing cars always turned to alcohol because it allows a power gain of ~ 10%, but it consumes 30% more because of lower energy density ... Alcohol was then banned in particular for safety reasons (in the event of fire the flames are almost invisible)
In Brazil, ladybugs have often been using pure alcohol for a long time, but with a suitable diet (bronze carburetor in particular) and since it is never cold, it makes starting easier ...

So, American racing cars run on ethanol, and before it was methanol, while Formula 1 cars run on gasoline. It does not say which is better because the Formula 1 are technological jewels that are bridled in all directions to reduce their performance, while the American cars are much coarser, the Americans wanting to show and not an engineering competition.

ok and thank you for the answers, if i understood correctly the only technical reason which could prevent us from driving with alcohol (apart from being supplied with pure alcohol) would be the starting at base temperature, because to tell you the truth i think to make a system to preheat the alcohol / air mixture at the intake pipe so just before entering the combustion chambers after all is to know how many degrees the alcohol can enter a self-ignition phase and avoid an early explosion, and even if I end up dropping the idea of alcohol, in the worst case I think it will be useful for my 309 which runs on ethanol after all depand the start-up by negative temperature
