Hello,
here I experienced for some time, the fuel E85 my 205 1L4 carbu 85cv.
I am first progressive testing 10% and 30% and 60%, and there, I ride a 80%.
Until 30%, I have been no changes to make.
after, a 60%, I mounted the biggest jets (15% bigger) and I advance the ignition of 2 degrees.
it works very well like that in 60 80% and%.
The small inconvenience that I encounter 80% is that the cold start, it sputters a little.
I have heard that it may be necessary to heat the SuperEthanol for proper operation.
But, I do not know how much to warm it up, not easy to find this kind of info on the net.
The eclair point of ethanol is about 13 + ° C, and that of SP95 is -40 ° C, so I deduced that the eclair point E85 is about 6 + ° C.
I have a small reserve rechuaffeur type electrical Stanadyne for diesel normally, that temperature is automatically regulates the heating element ceramics. I tate me to ride, is that it does not overheat?
Nico.
PS; ah yes, I forgot. The combustion of E85, is just mind blowing, the car tended to smoke, and then nothing. Even at the candles, all scale is gone. The odor Exhaust pot once a hot engine is nonexistent, cold, when the car running to the starter, it just feels good alcohol, such alcohol 90 °

My usage, I have not yet calculated a 80%, but I had calculated a 60%.
I'm 8L / 100 205 highway with my body double carburetor 1L4 85cv
I usually did to 7.5L / 100, which largely remained below the manufacturer's data that says 9.1L / 100 highway.
For the pump, I, I live in Montpellier, there is one in my department, and she 5min my home fluke
otherwise whether y'en a near your house

A +, Nico.

Hello,
Test your m interresse much!
J have one of 106 1992, 209 000km and carburetor.
J would like to adjust my carburetor, but I wonder if should not also change the float because the density of the e85 is different from gasoline.
the biggest jet you the where?
And how to advance the ignition, how do you know for compression resulting rate? c is not harmful to the engine this mod, c is that mine is not young ??

In recent days, I ride a 100% of bioethanol.
it works very well, except maybe cold starts a little chaotic, but it only lasts a few moments.
I went on a jet 140, 120 in place of the original, an increase of about 27%. I think a 135 Jet enough, but I had no reservation.
My sprinklers, I had in reserve in other carb that I bought used for room.
What I watch is the oxidation of aluminum by superethanol because my carburetor is aluminum. As it is new, it's easy to see. It is seen as a very thin white film in the carburetor, but nothing serious is alumina.
I must see what happens level consumption.

Why not do as those with diesel and oil, a solenoid games to boot with a mixture 50 50%% E85 and gasoline to boot and after switch to 100% E85? it does not look very hard air.
This is what I would surely but for now I want to be sure to do the mods on the carb, and it will have a little more E85 stations to run me.
Have you mofifié the ignition lag? you think it is interesting to do?

Hello
When the fuel was scarce during the dark days of the war, some self walked to the alccol he was a Solex carburetor that started on a small reserve to then transfer gasoline alcohol ...
Our grandfather is also thought (evil man took a well developed stuff)
