Biodiesel based on microalgae

To illustrate Christophe's article https://www.econologie.com/a-partir-d-al ... -1860.html et https://www.econologie.com/biocarburant- ... -3388.html a report seen at 20 p.m. on TF1, January 11, 2007, TF1 which, by the way, is starting to catch up with the delay it had on France 2 in terms of reporting on the environment. It would seem that this theme becomes promising in terms of news .....

what is new is that we are talking about it, and in France!
Americans have looked into the issue for a long time and have experimented with many varieties of algae. (As for further development on the US market, that's another matter, it seems to me that the oil "complex" has a certain deterrent power, doesn't it MGW Bush?)
In addition, I fear that our researchers will be "zealous", ie looking for THE best variety (there are tens of thousands ...); whereas one should already among the, a priori, not too bad, which are already found, accelerate the processes which would allow the production by lowering the "price of the barrel".

In this regard, there is always an ambiguity in this price: it is the price from the well; delivered to the refinery, leaving the refinery, versus a process for manufacturing algae-based oils which would be located at the refinery inlet, or even at the outlet if the oil can be used directly in certain Diesel engines (here we are again to the HVB debate)

Well, in any case, it's not good news for our friends, the farmers, that ... and if our oil pressure groups, that is M TOTAL, were a bit smart, they would quickly invest a few small% of the oil's profits fossil...
