I would like your opinion on the simple manufacture of a screw press
using a meat grinder and soda bars after the exit grid

or two big gear to pass sunflower seeds in the teeth is self-lubricating this product.
Franck your reactor you put it in the closet?
Andre
he is in my garage rusting! we can not do everything!
I made modifications on my oil fryer, and I have a solar panel to install to heat the water of my swimming pool.
otherwise I recupe two carburetor 12 brelle au boiseau, the reactor will reserve me to make me a high temperature torch to make solders.

everything is polluted, everything is possible to decontaminate
make an oil press
for hurry, it takes a hydraulic cylinder, pushing into a plunger / perforated cylinder, at the other end a grid, to recover the corks caps for animals. For ease the seeds can be flattened.
but for this system, it takes power!

Speaking of power ... according to this document: https://www.econologie.com/caracterisati ... -2876.html
51 page: "Pressing unit powered by a completely autonomous 7 hp desiel oil engine. It consumes 1,2l / h out of the 22l / h produced"
(1,2 L / h corresponds to an average power of 5.5 cv)
The pressing operation would already use 1,2 / 22 = 5,45% of the energy supplied by the oil. This is a factor to take into account when calculating the oil yield ...
ps: this document includes many interesting numbers ... such as the dates of the experiments (80 years ... and yes the biofuels is not new ...)

Andre's idea of squeezing grain with a hydrolic pump
does not seem bad at all. The only thing that
I'm worried a bit is the possible presence of sand or
stones in rapeseed. This would most certainly be fatal to
If this problem could be solved, 180 has 200 bars
should be enough to extract the oil.
Otherwise it will be necessary to go through a simple cylinder
action to pump grain mixed with oil, and animate
this worm with a double-acting jack. This last would be
animated by the hydrolic pump. The only piece that would
prematurely used by the impurtee would be a jack.
This will limit the costs of interviews. In addition to passing
by means of cylinders, this will increase
the pressure applies to the grain, the limit being the resistance
of the press or the cylinder.
From a practical point of view, I'll mix oil with rapeseed,
in order to drive rapeseed with oil to the pump.
The hydrolic pump would replace the endless screw.
extracted will partially return to the grain.
At the end of the extraction the oil still mixed grain would be
fully pumped from the bar press.
Perhaps it would be desirable to grind the grain before
press it.
An additional interest in adding oil would be
ability to control the pressing temperature more easily.
Since the oil could be cooled before returning to the
press with its load of grain.
Too bad I'm too mowing to patent the trick .J will have
definitely share the benefits with you Andre.

I hope it's ironic because the right solution to lobbies is open source, it's also the nonsense of this article appeared in the Belgian magazine Imagine:
