Okofen pellet boiler power drop

by logredudon » 19/09/10, 09:00

Hello,

I have an Okofen 15kW boiler.

During the annual maintenance, my heating engineer found that the heating cycles were a little short: He therefore clamped it electronically to 12kW.

Is it sufficient ? Because I seem to have read that it was also necessary to restrain it physically (plugging "the exchangers / turbulators).

Goods.

Oh interesting this electronic bridage, I did not know it was possible ...

Can we go down to where relative to the nominal power?

So is an electronic bridle enough or should it be done physically?

A priori, the electronics physically control the different settings, such as quantity and speed of arrival of the fuel and therefore the electronic clamping results in a physical clamping in some unclear limits!

I have the impression to read that this type of boiler could be improved ???

The power excursions seem limited in amplitude, compared to the necessary, between outside cold and cold, from 15 to 10KW, which is low, since at -15 ° C outside, with the inside at 20 ° C, is 35 ° C difference, compared to 10 ° C outside 10 ° C difference, 3,5 times more, or go from 15KW to less than 5KW!
!
The good yield under optimal conditions may be deteriorated under variable real conditions ??

Personally I like to understand everything and control in a boiler !!

I have in front of an advertisement: Burneco 30 kW automatic pellets boiler with 7000 € TTC (21%) with 1 silo of 700L, with the premiums in wallonie ca falls to: 4500 € ... and less than 2000 € for buildings over 5 years with the tax credit.

In short, in the end, we are very far from 15 - 20 000 € (excluding aid) ... but hey it seems a little too good?

I also had the power of my boiler reduced from 20 to 15 KW: indeed it must be clamped physically (plugging "the exchangers / turbulators) and also electronically on the control board (parameter P265)
