China installs half of the world's new offshore wind capacity in 2020

French.xinhuanet.com | Posted on 2021-02-27
BEIJING, Feb.27 (Xinhua) - China leads the world in new offshore wind installations for the third year in a row with more than three gigawatts of new offshore capacity installed in 2020, according to the World Wind Energy Council.

"Even though China was the first to be hit by the COVID-19 crisis, the impact on the offshore wind energy sector has been minimal, resuming 'normal operations' as early as March 2020," Feng said. Zhao, head of intelligence and market strategy at the board.

China's record growth is expected to continue in 2021, driven by the rush of offshore wind installations, he said.

While the UK continues to rank first in the world for total offshore wind power capacity, China has overtaken Germany to become the world's second largest market for offshore wind turbines, the council noted.

Also interesting to understand how China has become the leader in this field, from what I read in this article: https://www.jedonnedusens.com/panneaux-solaires-chinois/, it will be difficult to catch up!

In Britain, installed capacity increased by 609MW in the third quarter of 2021, but production decreased by 24% for offshore production, and 38% (4/10) for onshore production. Imports, a large part of which is French nuclear, have doubled.

Why continue in error?
Because ideology demands it!

No, it is not "for those who have not learned to use Google", it is the least of things to source when you advance figures. : roll:

That's your point of view, and like all the rest of your creeds, it's not authoritative.

This is the generally accepted rule in a forum and your stupid remark is not authoritative.

If this is the rule, practice it before giving lessons. From you one sees little more than gratuitous assertions and displays of opinion.
