Comparative observation Air X, breeze, Rutland and Aerogen

by Ruthenian » 19/04/12, 09:32

Here are my latest observations on the Mediterranean coast.
In full tramontane regime.
Observed:
Air Breeze
Aeorgen
Rutland 913...

verdicts:
Air Brezze and Air X 3 blades => Real weather vanes and a huge whistling noise that can be heard more than 200 meters away even in the ambient noise of the port, people, winds ... !!!
Often they go into security mode

Aeorgen 6 blades => stable steering, have trouble starting compared to the Rutland. Noise none or very little during turbulence.

Rutland 6 blades => stable steering, non - stop rotation, no noise except under heavy turbulence, a slight noise.

Thank you for this info, you would have illustrative photos of each model in situation?

Some models are not far from my home. I'm going to ask: politely it costs nothing.

The galaxy note is a comic. Able to send duplicate posts to the pocket without touching them.
: Cheesy:

There is a large domestic wind turbine style 3kwh and 2 style500wh
The 3kwh is with a house construction contractor. I'm going to make the naive lambda buyer. The 2 little ones will go natural. What's this. It's used for. How much does it cost installed. How much does it produce. Happy !!!

I confirm that the air breeze plus airX blades ca hiss loudly.
I dismantled the blades so as not to take a shot from the neighbor.
I ordered the angle reducer in the US 10 €.
With the shims to increase it is worse. So we have to decrease.

it is a toy, a dinette: 200w maximum peak per storm. 90 cm in diameter: it's fun. : Shock:

Edit: to keep a charged battery on a boat to have water at the tap OK

: Arrowu: A lot of wind these days at home.
I took out the kites with the children. : Mrgreen:

More seriously, I dream (always) of putting a wind turbine on my roof, and it tickles me even more since I installed the VMC DF which causes additional electrical consumption that I would like to compensate for, or even erase.

A friend in Dordogne, who is not connected to the network, owns a Rutland 913. Yes, the power is not gigantic, but I have never seen the wind turbine stopped and I confirm that it is ultra silent.

I still wonder, however, if my wind field is sufficient to benefit from it.

Big furling problem also on this model from what I see. Same as on my 1000W wind-up which (even if it is not yet as well located) plays a good weather vane and never stays well against the prevailing wind.

I think that in the end, I would remove the drift and motorize the rotation of the nacelle with an electronic servo compared to the average value of the wind direction.
But it's not for now.

: Cheesy:
My morning investigation.
The 80-year-old granny: "No, it's not the neighbor. It's my husband.
He is lying sick : Cry: "
I can...
Thank you
It’s to charge big batteries
Not for EDF.
The pleasure of her husband.
Fat matt. I shook down. It's not a little girl thing.
Facing north between 2 houses under the roof level.
Wired with rotten wire.
It looks a lot like this:

It turns with little wind. I see it very often. It is 800m from work I pass very often.
The granny told me that for cooking recipes she knows more.
I'll come back to see the husband.
Like what. There is no age : Mrgreen:

the granny also told me that it makes little noise.
No wind this morning: nothing heard. It didn't turn out.

late afternoon.

Mister is away. I discuss the neighbor. Noise a little more. probably 1Kwh
It's direct roadside so with the noise of cars ...
It seems to me that the mat is shaking a little.
It turns with disconcerting ease with so little wind.
On the other hand the wind turbine looks due north under the level of the roof, that must turbulate maximum.
