milking cow ? meat

by Pascal HA PHAM » 08/09/09, 15:49

hello raymundo,
candid question that I am in terms of cattle:
her milk production is the first reason to be .... or is that meat production?

at what time in her life does a cow go from "milkmaid" to .....
eatable? ...

c''etait the horrible question tryphon.

It is understood that the oxen are like carrots: cooked in advance!

A milk the cows go ....
Go Milk cows .....

A+

Hello friends, hello Pascal,

The Salers cow has the advantage of being a mixed breed milk / meat, nevertheless rather typical meat.

The milk it produces is very rich, but in volume smaller than the "Holstein" or "Montbelliardes" dairy products.

My cousin's breeding is said to be a "suckler system", meaning that the cows are not milked by humans, but only by their calves. He chose to be purebred. When you want the maximum amount of meat, crossing with a Charolais bull is one of the best choices, because the salers has one of the best calving abilities.

Whether purebred or crossbred, this produces heavy calves only grass and milk of Salers mothers.

Cows are selected here for their quality of growth, and peaceful character of their mass / muscle balance.

In fact, there's good !!

See you soon !
