ORGANIC a market like any other

by izentrop » 05/12/21, 16:43

Egg crisis. In Brittany, breeders forced to give up organic
The leading French region to produce organic eggs, Brittany has been facing an unprecedented crisis since the start of the year: organic eggs are selling less well and there are too many of them. To regulate the market, large groups or cooperatives are forcing their organic egg producers to reorient themselves towards conventional open-air breeding.
No real scientifically proven advantage, so fashion goes with the crisis :frown:

What findings in this first half of 2019?
In 2018, one in three French organic hens was in Brittany. The density per farm is 6 hens per farm with several dozen farms of more than 600 hens at the regional level (national density of 18 hens per farm, Agence
Bio June 2019). The organic laying flock in Brittany has grown by + 30% while the area under arable crops grown organically has increased half as quickly (+ 15%). The organic pioneers imagined these specifications with the concern of
do not reproduce the errors of the conventional. However, the organic egg sector is illuminated by its many red lights: densification of farms, specialization of a production region, geographical dissociation of breeding areas and production areas.
crops...
The Breton organic egg sector is to date completely congested.

Dare to call this organic !!! When the industrialists seize something good, they manage to rot it and shoot themselves ...

Ps: Go and show yourself with your stupid reflection "No real scientifically proven advantage, so fashion passes with the crisis" without any relation to the subject.

we can even go further! All manufacturers know that to sink a competitor, it suffices to introduce a high-level mole to break the product. The officialization of BIO with less bidding also had this objective, to rot the sector to preserve agrochemicals. Except that, contrary to its objective not even hidden, the less that BIO has developed despite everything with ecology, change climate, health scandals, etc ...
The kisses are and remain consumers as usual.
And bpuzo bis takes the opportunity to relaunch his usual crap, he has to justify the bribes paid to him by the chemical dealers.

organic food for all, it is a very laudable wish, to achieve it 2 possible ways
1) the development of small structures on a human scale
2) industrialization
we have overestimated the demand for organic, by dint of saying that ALL the French want organic because they have become aware, we thought we had to increase organic production to be ready for this revolution in mentalities

solution 1) which takes time and which could have followed theaRevolution of the demand was therefore considered incapable of supplying we therefore turned to solution 2) the error was just the overestimation of the demand for "organic"

the urban population very fond of "organic" is unfortunately not representative of the French but once again it is they who imposed the political choices, exactly as for cars ... and once again as Guy says

The organic pioneers had imagined these specifications with the concern of not reproducing the errors of the conventional. and yet they did so by wanting to believe too much in their ideo and ignoring the realities of the field

yes it is the consumer who is the loser, but this time to whom should we throw the stone? Was there not a sin of pride on the part of the "organic"?

ah when we believe !!! besides, an ad demonstrates it, an ad for a classic soup that ends with "and for organic enthusiasts" we also have an "organic" range. : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

The solution to combine short circuits and organic is to avoid concentrations and to favor the fragmentation of farms, any, according to the realities of the market and regional needs. There, we fall back into delirium and .... it does not work.

yes, but the fragmentation of farms must be accompanied by a political will, because the sale of farms is often done at market price and therefore tends towards concentration, installation aid must be reinforced and really encouraged

So on the one hand a beautiful speech of organic promotion, and on the other a hand which remains at the bottom of the pocket and therefore as always in these cases, it is the law of the market which prevails and it is the organic and the consumer who pay the price

Looks like you're new to greed and politics. Industrialists are greedy for dividends, politicians for power. They get along like thieves at a fair.

In terms of political policy, it is a question of making everyone happy: to aspiring farmers by encouraging them verbally, but above all to those in place, by effectively promoting their expansion, since it is in the interest of the market and that all submit to it.
I have read moving statements from politicians about the nobility of this profession, but none who considered "pushing" their own children down this path ...

In fact, nothing proves that organic is better for your health https://www.santemagazine.fr/alimentati ... bio-830646.
So there comes a time when the consumer realizes it and looks at his wallet. :P

The rules of organic have no scientific basis. They are contrary to the need to fight against RC, by banning herbicides and forcing more tillage, which increases GHG emissions.
Conservation agriculture is much more virtuous, but hey it is not from the perspective of "green" and politicians who rely on this electorate to survive. : roll:
