Carrots with holes from the inside ...

The carrots are cooked ? No, but they have holes! For a few months now, I have noticed that some of my carrots (1 in 5 to 1 in 10 ???) have holes inside on a crown ... I had never seen this in my life before ...

This time I thought about taking 2 photos:

These are carrots from a local producer (not organic) ... but I had already noticed this several times (I had been used for 10 years to take organic, so it can maybe happen on organic. ..)

A priori this makes me think of too rapid growth: the carrot does not have time to fill its material during its growth ... but the explanation may be elsewhere?

more likely a lack of water at the time of growth.
Let them bathe in water, it will rehydrate them. The same goes for all root vegetables.

My humble opinion: they simply grew too fast and did not have time to fill their interiors. Speed and precipitation due to good rains ...
