Food expenditure by family in the world

by Christophe » 25/03/13, 13:52

Small comparison on the 5 continents, funny this difference between Germany and Italy because Germany is known to be "at the forefront" agro industrially (understand: it will hardly be cheaper and more industrial elsewhere ... milking cows on dairy farms of more than 1000 head is in Germany ...)

According to this forum The largest automated dairy farm is located in Quebec:

All this without growth hormone!

Injecting synthetic growth hormones (rBGH or rBST) increases milk production in cows but has possible side effects. Authorized in the United States, this practice is prohibited in Canada and the European Union.

Regarding the expenditure by family, we should see versus family income which varies quite a lot according to the countries.

Stepping behind sometimes can strengthen friendship.
Criticism is good if added to some compliments.

I did not say that there was no worse elsewhere but that it was difficult to beat them (in France the average of farms is 60-70 dairy ...) ... but thank you for clarifying that, you, Canadians knew how to do worse ...

But as you say there will always be the USA above all of us (the Dutch are not bad too but they have an excuse: they have very few areas ...) : Cheesy:

To see the photos (still very different), the difference comes at least as much from the quantity consumed per person as from the price of foodstuffs (and therefore their mode of production).

The amount of liquid purchased by the German family : Shock:

anyway we live in a consumer world
everywhere these same
whether its food or material
the proof is what was your last purchase really useful?
Do not think.

I prefer to eat well and take good care of myself and have a warm roof over my head with no housing problems than having the latest equipment.

Yes Gina but this is not the debate here ... here we are just comparing the food budget of different families in the world ...

Generally those who complain that the (good) food has become too expensive are those who have several latest TVs, several GSM subscriptions, one or more cars on credit ... that's the paradox!

Everything is a matter of priority ... and today, I think we no longer know how to prioritize real things !!

The school is, in part, responsible for this!

Hey Gina, I found this subject from 2008 which talks a bit about what you say: https://www.econologie.com/forums/plus-de-po ... t4725.html

This one too: https://www.econologie.com/forums/actualite- ... t6365.html

We had others but I no longer find there ... I keep looking ...
