Tous au Larzac: documentary with José Bové released this week:

Synopsis and details

Marizette, Christiane, Pierre, Léon, José… are some of the actors, funny and moving, of an incredible struggle, that of the peasants of Larzac against the State, confrontation of the weak against the strong, which united them in a fight mercilessly for saving their lands. A determined and joyful fight, but sometimes also trying and perilous. It all started in 1971, when the government, through its Minister of Defense Michel Debré, declared that the Larzac military camp must expand. Radical, anger spreads like wildfire, peasants mobilize and sign an oath: they will never give up their land. In daily confrontation with the army and the police, they will deploy treasures of imagination to make their voices heard. Soon hundreds of Larzac committees will be created all over France ... Ten years of resistance, collective intelligence and solidarity, which will lead them to victory.

This week and also in the "econological" field, there is also "Black gold" on the start of oil exploitation in Arabia that came out: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_g ... 78179.html

This is the last JJ Annaud but the reviews are not top ...

The BA is not very desirable (we see more sabers or guns than oil wells ...) http://www.allocine.fr/video/player_gen ... 78179.html

In the same vein, but in the USA, there is also the very good (because original) "There Will Be Blood": https://www.econologie.com/forums/film-there ... t4906.html

I just saw "Tous au Larzac" at the cinema in special screening!

Very beautiful human adventure which gave birth to the Peasant Confederation! Nice lessons of solidarity and brotherhood with these 103 families ...

To see, there are very beautiful landscapes (big desire for paragliding !!!) but a little long at times all the same ...

Not a single "young" in the room on the other hand ...(too busy facebooking their last drinking party? :| :| )
