The price of water in the world by country and cities

Interesting document that summarizes water prices by country and major cities in the world:
https://www.econologie.info/share/partag ... YGShIc.pdf

And as with everything, there are strong disparities and here is the geographical detail for France:

That’s why in Marseille you don’t put a lot of water in your pastis. : Mrgreen:

with us, village from 1650 h the price of water and sanitation taxes' (excluding meter rental of 25 €) is 3. 10 € / m3
management is communal
personally I consumed 45 m3 and paid 164.69 €

nb: in recent years many improvements have been made on the water network, water search, upgrading to standards and despite the price, we can not complain too much because the shortage (apart from 2003) has not been felt
but the big problem to come is the proliferation of private pools .... a chasm

If they are emptied every season yes it is a problem ... otherwise evaporation does not constitute an unreasonable consumption (a few tens to hundreds of liters per month ... in short, a few showers).

There are many other ecological problems linked to a swimming pool, starting with disinfection (I think 9/10 of private swimming pools are disinfected with chlorine) and heating (if it is not solar) ...

Hello
the doc is completely obsolete because of 2001.
for me the price of water has doubled since that date.
I live in the Vosges in a place where we are full of water and the price including tax per cubic meter and ... 4.28 euro :frown:

Hello
I have no idea how much water I consume?
In my city they solved the problem, no water meter
a fixed price annually for everyone (Sewage tax)
economy of meter and staff to read meters.

the only restrictions on water consumption is in summer we must limit our watering with automatic oscillating lawn to two days that is to say the doors of houses which have a No pair can water on even days.
For a hose watering by hand it is tolerated unlimited
watering lawns takes much more water than filling swimming pools.

bizzare, my message is lost

so I said that this system was not bad. it may generate savings in operating costs but no water savings

pools that are drained before winter (those from 6 to 15 m3)
cause a lot of waste (like us)

for me the sprinkling is done with spring water and I use it in the toilets and the washing machine the linen result 45 m3 of economy and 398 € on 3 years of earned
